The wii infra red sensor is essential to play wii games on. The sensor connects the remote controls to the wii itself. The standrad sensor you get with the wii is connected to the wii by a wire. This can be a problem in hoses where they are designed to look wireless or if you want to move your wii around frequently. They can also be a problem if you want to store your wii a little way away from the sensor itself. In these problem situations this wireless wii sensor is ideal as it has no resrictions on where it is placed.
